This summer I'll be taking two classes, Legal Profession and Business Associations. The summer session is 5 weeks long and classes are held every day, Monday-Thursday.
Legal Profession (Legal Pro) is the class that teaches you all of the things you should avoid doing when you're in practice. For example, don't have sex with a client. Don't have sex with a client while visiting him/her in jail. Don't have sex with a client in jail, promise to win his/her case, lose his/her case, and subsequently lose your license to practice law. If we spend a lot of time talking about all of the mistakes that lawyers make to get themselves disbarred, Legal Pro will be a lot of fun.
Business Associations (Biz Ass) is the class that teaches you all about business stuff, like how to form an LLC. Since I know next to nothing about Biz Ass and related topics, the class should be quite informative.
I'm also going to find a place in town at which I can volunteer. Legal Aid would be good but I'm still investigating my options. Maybe I can wrangle a position with the Eugene Emeralds and spend most of the summer at the ballpark. Whatever I find, summer in Eugene is going to be beautiful.
